It's that time of year to let the fresh air in and clean those closets out! In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, Old Town Manassas announces the 6th Annual Spring Cleaning Day to be held on Saturday, April 20th at the Harris Pavilion. 

FREE Pedicab rides will be provided throughout the day!

Recycle those gently used household items or clothes to a worthy cause, visit with the recycling and environmental exhibitors, and help the kids make earth friendly art projects! The day includes exhibitors from non-profit and civic organizations providing recycling and environmental information.

Historic Manassas, Inc. will once again partner with the City of Manassas in a Community Shred (10AM-2:30PM)The Shredding Truck will be located on West Street (between Center and Church Street).  Attendees are asked to park in the back of the BB&T parking lot and form a line along West Street to drop off their documents to be shredded.  Click HERE to see a map of the shredding truck layout.

Habitat For Humanity ReStore

Promoting donation and recycling opportunities at the ReStore. Information will be provided about the ReStore and Habitat's building programs.

Accepting: tools, hardware, light fixtures, plumbing materials.  Large donations will be directed to the restore down the street (9506 Center Street).

Keep Prince William Beautiful Provide recycling and litter education through games, visuals, and information.  We will also educate the community about opportunities and programs for environmental stewards.
Manassas City Police Department Information on litter enforcement month, graffiti, etc. Will collect cell phones to be refurbished as 9-1-1 cell phones.
Manassas City Public Schools Display the Growing Up Green Program
Manassas Lioness Lions Club Will collect cell phones, inkjet cartridges, eye glasses, hearing aides, ipods, laptops, digital cameras, gold, gps, hand held games, and USB aircards.
Prince William SPCA PAW Express (26 foot long) adoption van, "recycling" dogs and cats from PWC Animal Shelter to begin new lives in new homes!!
Project Mend-A-House We will provide brochures and information on preventing falls in homes.  Anyone who wishes to donate to Project Mend-A-House, please click here.
Volunteer Prince William Provide information on volunteering and give-aways.

 

The annual Old Town Merchant Sidewalk Sale will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Make sure to visit the merchants!

NEW THIS YEAR

ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE 

10:00am-10:45am and 11:00am-11:45am

Jordan Onijs, Violinist, is a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra and has been for the past six years. He has participated in over 16 orchestral events in the past five years, 5 solo events, and a Music Festival in Europe in 2009.

12:00pm-12:45pm

Cedar Run came together from the original group the Mill Run Dulcimer Band. These three folks just seem to click when playing Old-Time, Folk, or Celtic-style music.  You'll enjoy their unique arrangements and adaptations on traditional songs and tunes as well as their own creations and their use of a variety of instruments such as Appalachian Dulcimer, Guitar, Tenor Banjo, Mandolin, Mandola, Bouzouki (Octave Mandolin) and Upright Bass to accompany their superb vocal arrangements.
