Pied Piper Theatre Presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat
The Center for the Arts’ Pied Piper Theatre presents its musical production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat, May 12-20. With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this musical production brings to life the Biblical story of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob. When Joseph’s jealous brothers come to Egypt to beg for food, he reveals himself as the brother they betrayed years before. A musical extravaganza, this production provides a wide array of music and dances as well as stunning sets and costumes.
Over 40 of the area’s most talented young singers, actors and dancers are showcased in this captivating production. Joseph is played by Seth Poplawski, Sarah Jane Scott plays the Narrator, Pharaoh is portrayed by Buddy McGrath, Noelle Faucette is Jacob, and Chris Vasey and Staten Longo appear as Potifer and his wife. Joseph’s brothers include Patrick Kelly, Trey Krause, Christopher Lang, Connor Longi, Buddy McGrath, Eni Oyeleye, Tyler Parowski, Colby Riley, Kyle Turnage, Chris Vasey, and Connor Watkinson. The George Mason University Printmakers Guild, founded in 2009, is composed of students, faculty, and professional artists from the Washington D.C. area who are skilled in a wide range of printmaking media. The GMU Printmakers Guild focuses on learning, collaboration and sharing printmaking knowledge. They provide demonstrations and hands-on workshops about their techniques for people of all ages.
