Historic Manassas, Inc. Hosts Bike to Work Day Pit Stop

 

Manassas, VA— Friday, May 17th is Bike to Work Day! Join Historic Manassas, Inc., the Washington Area Bicyclist Association, and Bull Run Bicycles for a celebration of bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work. Historic Manassas, Inc. will host one of 70 pit stops in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia area. To participate, go to www.biketoworkmetrodc.org and register. Then, on May 17th bike to the Manassas-VRE pit stop, at the Harris Pavilion between 6 am and 9 am. Pick up a free t-shirt, water bottles, snacks and free trip passes for the VRE. Bull Run Bicycles will be there to provide bike safety tune-ups.

Bike to Work Day was started by the League of American Bicyclists in 1956. It is now a nationwide effort to get commuters to try bicycling to work as a healthy and safe alternative to driving. Over 12,000 commuters participated in 2012. This event will be held rain or shine!
