Event Details
Celebrate America this Independence Day with one of the largest fireworks displays in Northern Virginia. It's an all American party in Old Town Manassas, sponsored by the City of Manassas!
The fun starts at 4pm around the Old Town train depot and Manassas Museum lawn. Dance to live music by Point Blank, performing a variety of classic, contemporary and modern rock and country music at the train depot...
Amatuer bakers can enter to win up to $100.00 in our second Apple Pie Baking Contest at the Harris Pavilion. Click here for the entry and rules, and join us on the 4th at the Pavilion to see who wins!
Lots of fun rides for the kids, including the Acrospring, Dragon Slide and Enchanted Fairies Bounce!
Of course we'll have funnel cake and other favorite carnival foods, face painting and a red white and blue hayride! Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come early to get the best seats on the Manassas Museum lawn for the fireworks display at 9:15PM! Please note that the Old Town parking garage will not be available for this event.
Be sure to stop by Sweet Street, across the tracks at the Old Town Sweet Shoppe! Watermelon and pie eating contests, apple bobbing, and a dance contest to the sounds of Dave the DJ! Win prizes from various Old Town merchants in both kid and adult categories. Sweet Street opens at 4pm, with contests starting at 6pm. Cool off with an ice cream cone, or even a frappucino from Javaroo!
Rain date for the fireworks display will be July 5, 2008.
